Reportaje sobre presunta negligencia médica se lleva el Pulitzer

La organización sin fines de lucro The Center for Public Integrity fue premiada por segunda vez con un Pulitzer en la categoría Investigación Periodística por descubrir la conspiración de unos médicos y abogados para negar asistencia médica a mineros con enfermedades pulmonares. La presunta negligencia fue denunciada y llevada a los tribunales de justicia.
El periodista Chris Hamby fue premiado con 10 mil dólares. Entre los finalistas están los periodistas Megan Twohey de Reuters y Phillip Reese de The Sacramento Bee.
El usuario en Twitter del reportero se convirtió en tendencia en Washington, en EE.UU, según Trendsmap:
