Quiso aprovechar el contexto para generar más tráfico, pero le salió todo mal. En el día del 50 aniversario del discurso «I have a dream» (Tengo un sueño) del legendario Martin Luther King, Golf Channel intentó incentivar a sus seguidores de Twitter para que compartan su «sueño de golf». El tuit fue eliminado.

«Tuitea tu sueño de golf en el 50º aniversario del discurso «Tengo un sueño» de Martin Luther King», compartió el medio a través de su cuenta de 140 caracteres. Además sugirió usar el hashtag #DreamDay. Lo único que recibió a cambio fueron críticas de parte de los internautas.

Cabe aclarar que un día como hoy, en 1963, Luther King, un pastor evangélico que luchó por el trato igualitario y la promoción de derechos civiles para los afroamericanos en Estados Unidos, dio este discurso que convocó a miles de personas que buscaban el mismo objetivo.

Al parecer, a Golf Channel le importó poco lo que se conmemora en esta fecha.
