Estas son las mejores fotos de fauna silvestre de este año

Regalo para los fotógrafos. Aparecieron los resultados del prestigioso concurso  Wildlife Photographer of the Year, que se encuentra en su edición 53.

Este año recibió cerca de 50 mil piezas de 92 países. Y los ganadores fueron anunciados en una ceremonia en el Museo de Historia Natural de Londres, Reino Unido.

Hay 13 categorías en la competición, con 2 premios globales: Fotógrafo de Naturaleza del Año, y el Joven Fotógrafo de Naturaleza del Aaño.

La imagen ganadora, tomada por el fotógrafo sudafricano Brent Stirton, es una imagen que presenta la situación del rinoceronte negro. Es un animal que está catalogado como en peligro crítico.

“Para hacer una escena tan trágica casi majestuosa en su poder escultural merece el premio más alto. Hay crudeza, pero también hay una gran intensidad y por lo tanto dignidad en el gigante caído”, expresó el juez de la competencia, Roz Kidman Cox. “También es el símbolo de uno de los delitos ambientales más derrochadores, crueles e innecesarios, que necesita para provocar la mayor protesta pública”, agregó, cita Petapixel.
